What should I do if I'm running late for my booking?
While we can't promise that we'll be able to fit you in, the best thing to do is turn up as close to your booking time as possible (remember, your arrival time is 10 minutes before the session is due to start) and our team will do everything they can to get you into a Gamebox but please note that this may include playing a shorter game. If you are booked for the last session of the day and you are more than 15 minutes late, however, there won't be anything we can do to accommodate a session. Drop us an email to [email protected] noting the venue and time of your booking if this is the case and we'll see what options are available for you to come back in.
What is the age suitability?
We recommend that the experience is for ages 8+. Children of 11 years old or younger must be accompanied by an adult (18+) although those aged 12 - 17 may play unaccompanied. There must be at least one adult per Gamebox with younger children. Younger children are welcome to attend without a ticket, this is not to play but to join your family group although please note that the overall number per Gamebox (including any younger children not playing) cannot exceed 6. The lighting can be darker whilst playing the Adventures, please be aware of them in there with you!
How does pricing work?
We have peak and off peak pricing, so the amount will change depending on when you want to visit us! You'll be able to see prices when you're booking your tickets.
What should I wear?
Please wear sensible footwear; flat shoes or trainers. No open toes or heels. We advise one layer, you may get warm.
Are there any physical requirements?
You will be moving around your Gamebox as the controller of the game, however our games aren’t too physical and all contained in one pod. Electric Gamebox Adventures all contain digital projections which are a source of flickering light. Due to the use of projectors, the interior of this installation is dimly lit. Can I bring my phone with me?
We aren’t going to take your phone from you- remember to tag us when you post! Get ready for some great photo opps in our Gameboxes!
Can I store my stuff?
We have lockers for small bags and coats, however we do not accept suitcases, large backpacks or bikes inside our unit. Please seek alternative arrangements for storing such items.
Will I be put with other groups?
No, you won’t be put in with another group. Bookings are private and you will only be joined in your Playbox by those you booked to play alongside.
If I have a disability or access requirements can I still take part in the games?
Most disabilities and access requirements can be accommodated but we want to make sure the games are safe for everyone, so if you’re not sure, get in touch before booking and we can help you figure it out. Do you have discounted carer tickets?
We offer one free carer ticket per Gamebox. These are issued on a trust based system, please get in touch with us via our contact us page if you feel you're entitled to this.
My child is under 8, can they play?
We have done a lot of testing and found that, although children under 8 years enjoy the lights and music, the adventures themselves can be too challenging to engage with properly. This is only guidance and you are welcome to bring your child to play if you think they would enjoy it. Please remember that the technology on the visors is expensive, and will be damaged if it falls off!
